Former schoolteacher, tutor of dyslexics and Kent County Councillor, Julie Round is well known for her family novels.
Since retiring to Worthing she has written eight novels, seven of which are based in Worthing. She says that the West Sussex area and the people within it are her constant inspiration. Her new book, released during the Coronavirus pandemic, is set between Brighton, Horsham and Chichester. In “More Fish in the Sea” a
young widow uses an introduction agency to find a new partner – but not everyone she meets is as genuine as she hopes.
Aside from writing, Julie also gives talks to local WI groups and recites poems at local folk clubs.
