Pulborough Parish Council (as the qualifying body) has prepared a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP), entitled “Pulborough Neighbourhood Plan 2014-2031”, for the Parish with the help of the local community.
The NDP sets out a vision for the future of the parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally. In accordance with Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), the Pulborough Neighbourhood Development Plan and associated documents are out to consultation for 8 weeks inviting representations between Monday 6th July – midnight on Monday 31st August 2020 following the consultation the Parish Council and Steering Group will undertake any necessary revisions and submit the resulting document to Horsham District Council for further consultation, followed by an independent examination before the NDP can proceed to a community referendum.
Downloadable versions of the plan are available on the Council’s website at www.pulboroughparishcouncil.gov.uk. This is the preferred method to access the plan. If you are unable to access these documents online then please contact the Clerk by emailing clerk@pulboroughparishcouncil.gov.uk. Alternatively, you can leave a message on the Parish Council landline: 01798 873532 but please note that due to remote working currently, messages left are only monitored on a weekly basis.
Please note that the copy of the plan and all supporting documents normally available to view by appointment at the Village Hall or at public drop-in events are not currently accessible due to COVID-19 restrictions. If you wish to attend to view these documents, please contact the Clerk and you will be notified as and when the easing of restrictions allows physical access to be made available, or advised when a member of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group will be able to speak to you by telephone. It is intended to have a printed copy available for inspection at Pulborough Library (Brooks Way) and the Parish Office (Village Hall, Swan View) as soon as social distancing measures ease sufficiently.

The simplest way to make your comments is to use the download response form on our website, or let us know if you’d like a printed copy of the form sent to you. This form must be completed and sent to:

Or, write a separate letter or email to the Parish Council but ensure you include your name, address (and email if possible) and consent to storing your data /forwarding your contact details to Horsham District Council.
A summary of all comments made will be publicly available. Please note that any other personal information provided will be confidential and processed in line with the Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulations. The Parish Council will process your details in relation to the preparation of this document only. As part of the Consultation and in line with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) please confirm that you are happy for the Parish Council to pass your contact details (name, address/email address) on to Horsham District Council (HDC) so that they can contact you at Regulation 16 consultation. Horsham District Council will contact you in a manner that is compatible with the GDPR.

Asking questions:
The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group will be holding some online (Zoom) sessions to answer questions about the draft Neighbourhood Plan. These are currently planned for Wednesday 15 July at 10.30am, 2.00pm and 4.00pm. Attendance will be limited to enable all those attending to ask questions in the time available. We plan to arrange others at later dates. Email clerk@pulboroughparishcouncil.gov.uk for access details, stating which meeting time you prefer.
