What an amazing young man! Windlesham House School Year 6 pupil, Aston is taking on a huge challenge all in the name of charity. In just under 2 weeks time Aston and one of his climbing coaches, Jack will be attempting to reach the summit of the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The 2 day trek will take him through this long mountain range that separates the Atlantic Coast from the Sahara desert to the highest peak Jebel Toubkal, weather permitting, at 4067 meters
Rest assured Aston is in safe hands, as his family and climbing club have organised everything and will be with him all the way.
Aston is raising funds for an organisation that is very close to his heart, The Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity. https://www.helenarkell.org.uk/
Aston says he decided to undertake this challenge to reflect the many difficult steps children with Neurodiversity undertake in their learning journey and on behalf of those who are struggling without the support they need.
He also wanted to acknowledge the support provided by the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity, particularly the inspiration from Ginny his tutor at the charity, and his first climbing coach and expedition leader Jack, both of whom have had a life changing impact on Aston, his family and many others.
Good luck Aston, everyone at Windlesham House School is so proud of you and will be cheering you on!
