Silver Sunday
On 7th October there will be a free Silver Sunday event for mature residents at Thakeham Village Hall. Contact us with any ideas for a Thakeham based event as part of the Horsham District Year of Culture 2019. In the diary so far are two art workshops in June at the beautiful Blue Idol – be inspired by Penn, pattern and peace!
‘Pinch-point’ scheme
By the time you read this Abingworth should finally have its traffic-calming ‘pinch-point’ scheme in place. We will now turn to making the school bus stops safer, and lowering the speed limit between Abingworth and Storrington. Design work with Highways to improve pedestrian safety at the B2139/Water Lane roundabout and Rock Road schools is due soon.
Velo South
Don’t forget that the Velo South cycle event will close the B2133 for part of Sunday 23 September. Details at www.velosouth.com.
