Star of Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo and Crackerjack, Stewart Francis embarks on a brand-new show and last ever tour. You can see him in Worthing on Tuesday 20 November at the Assembly Hall before he heads off… Into The Punset.
With dates across the country for Stewart’s last and final stand-up gig ever it is going to be an emotional affair. Winner of Dave’s Funniest Joke Of The Fringe, this hugely successful one liner wizard has become a household name in the UK over the last decade, thanks to his ‘perfectly crafted gags’ and expert timing, which he has toured around the UK, and at the Edinburgh Festival, to sell-out audiences.
Stewart Francis’ winning joke in Dave’s Funniest Joke Of The Fringe was taken from his Edinburgh show, Return of the Lumberjacks. The show was a reunion for Francis and other Canadian comics, Craig Campbell and Glenn Wool. His joke “You know who really gives kids a bad name? Posh and Becks.” was chosen as the winner by 10 Dave judges who sat through an average of 60 comedy shows in the Edinburgh Fringe 2012.
Stewart Francis has received international acclaim in the US and his native Canada, as well as here in the UK. Amongst other shows he has appeared on are BBC’s Mock The Week, Live At The Apollo, Celebrity Mastermind and Not Going Out, Dave’s One Night Stand, and C4’s 8 Out Of Ten Cats.
He delivers a deadpan performance with many one-liners and has headlined all over North America and the United Kingdom. He has also performed in numerous venues worldwide, including Hong Kong, South Africa, and throughout Europe. Now it’s time to sit back and enjoy, for the last time, his excellent jokes in his farewell tour.
