Littlehampton 10K Returns This Sunday – Expect Road Closures and Family Fun

The much-loved Littlehampton 10K is back this Sunday, 31st August 2025, bringing over 1,350 runners to the seafront and surrounding streets. The event, which has completely sold out, will see the new promenade buzzing with excitement as runners take on the 10K challenge in support of Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.
While the 10K itself is full, families can still get involved in the action by entering the Family Mile race, which starts at 10:45am. The shorter route offers children and parents the chance to be part of the big day in a fun, accessible way. Full details on how to join can be found at run-fest.com/littlehampton-family-mile.

As with any big community event, some disruption to local travel is expected. Roads across Littlehampton will close from 07:30am to allow the course to be set up safely, with the race starting at 09:00am. Most roads will reopen from 11:00am, with everything clear by 12:00pm.
Key roads affected include South Terrace, Pier Road, St Catherine’s Road, Beach Road, Fitzalan Road, and Sea Road, amongst others. Holmes Lane will also see closures during the peak of the race. A full breakdown of affected roads and timings can be found here: run-fest.com/littlehampton-10k-road-closures.
Event organisers are urging residents to plan ahead:
  • Avoid driving through the route where possible.
  • Park on an alternative street on Saturday evening if you’ll need to travel on Sunday morning.
  • Allow extra time for your journeys.
Despite the closures, the day promises to be a vibrant celebration of fitness, charity, and community spirit. Local residents are warmly encouraged to line the streets to cheer on runners, volunteer, or take part in the Family Mile.
For any access concerns during road closures, residents can email info@run-fest.com
