When fires happen in the workplace, it is crucial that every member of staff knows what to do.
Practical fire safety training, led by experts from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, is on offer for everyone working in the county.
Any business owner and employee can book a place.
You will be taught vital training by firefighters in how to cope in emergency situations.
Upcoming courses are:
• Management of Fire Risk Assessment – £135 – 16 April, 15 May, 14 June
• Fire Warden – £115 – 19 April, 15 May, 14 June
• Fire Extinguisher Training – £60 – 19 April, 17 May, 18 June.
All the courses are taking place at Worthing Fire Station.
Neil Stocker, Director for Public Protection and Deputy Fire Chief, said: “If a fire starts at work, do you and your staff know what to do?
“When emergencies happen, it is vital that you have a plan in place with everyone having received proper training.
“That’s why I would urge all employers in West Sussex to book onto one of these short courses.”
Debbie Kennard, West Sussex County Council Cabinet Member for Safer, Stronger Communities said: “There is no one better qualified to lead this training than West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
“Our firefighters have such a wealth of knowledge and expertise that I know all employers and their staff would benefit from these sessions.”
