Informal community breakfast meeting with a talk by Jonathan Beale, BBC Defence Correspondent.

Before joining the BBC Jonathan Beale had been an assistant to a Member of Parliament. He subsequently joined the BBC, for whom he has been working for more than 30 years – postings included political correspondent in Westminster. He then spent two years as the BBC’s Brussels correspondent and then served in Washington DC covering the 2006 midterm elections. In 2009 he covered the Guantanamo military commissions. Jonathan is now the BBC’s Defence Correspondent and over the last ten years he has covered conflicts in Afghanistan, the Middle East and Ukraine.
