Winter Warm Ups 2026

Looking for a fun way to stay active and connected this winter? Then the Winter Warm Up season is for you!

At Horsham District Council we know it can take more effort to get out during the colder months, so we have worked with local partners to create the Winter Warm Up events – offering fun ways to try something new, boost wellbeing, meet others and get winter ready.

Winter Warm Up Event Days

These are being held on:

  • Wednesday 14 October – The Bridge Leisure Centre, Broadbridge Heath
  • Thursday 15 October – Chanctonbury Leisure Centre, Storrington

The include:

  • Sport and activity taster sessions
  • Hearing tests
  • Vaccinations and health MOTs
  • Electric blanket testing
  • Arts and crafts workshops
  • Health and wellbeing drop-ins
  • A marketplace showcasing local groups, services and support
  • A free bowl of hot soup and a roll for everyone taking part

The Winter Warm Up Fringe Events

These events are being run throughout October and will showcase the range of local activity groups across the district. They offer different ways to get and stay active and with opportunities available on different days, at different times and in different locations, there should be something to suit everyone’s schedule.

Anyone joining a Fringe event can expect a warm welcome and a chance to try something new, free of charge.

Local clubs and organisations interested in taking part can email community.development@horsham.gov.uk.
