Centre for Sight Founder Mr Sheraz Daya Recongnised with IIRSI Gold Award

Sheraz Daya awarded IIRSI gold medal

Centre for Sight, located in Sussex, Surrey and Harley Street, a centre of excellence for advanced eye care, innovation and life-changing results, is proud to announce that its Founder and Medical Director, Mr Sheraz Daya, has been awarded the prestigious IIRSI Gold Medal in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the field of ophthalmology.

The award was presented at the Indian Intraocular Implant and Refractive Surgery (IIRSI) Convention, held in India, where leading ophthalmologists from around the world gathered to share expertise, research and innovation in eye care.

Speaking following the award, Mr Daya said: “It is a tremendous honour to receive the IIRSI Gold Medal from such a respected international society. To be recognised by peers and colleagues from around the world is both humbling and deeply meaningful. This award reflects not only my own journey, but the dedication of the entire Centre for Sight team and our shared commitment to advancing ophthalmic care, innovation and, most importantly, improving patients’ lives through better vision.”

Founded in 1996 by internationally renowned ophthalmic surgeon Mr Sheraz Daya, Centre for Sight has built a reputation as an award-winning provider of outstanding medical expertise and innovation in eye care.

Mr Daya has performed more than 35,000 cataract procedures and a similar number of laser vision correction treatments and is widely respected as a pioneer in laser eye surgery and corneal procedures.

Under his leadership, Centre for Sight became the UK’s longest-established provider of LASIK laser eye surgery and has played a key role in introducing advanced laser technologies and surgical techniques.

Our purpose is to provide vision that transforms lives,” said Mr Daya. “We are proud to be a centre of excellence where innovation, compassion and expertise come together to help people see the world more clearly.”

Centre for Sight operates from three state-of-the-art facilities located in the Harley Street Health District, East Grinstead and Surrey. Each centre is equipped with some of the most advanced ophthalmic technology available, including sophisticated diagnostic systems considered the gold standard in eye care.

Every patient undergoes up to 16 detailed diagnostic tests, ensuring a highly personalised and safe treatment plan.
