The new Thakeham Village Hall was formally opened on Friday 8 March by local MP Nick Herbert and Peter Burgess, Chair of Horsham District Council, who were welcomed by members community groups already making great use of the new building, and bringing benefits to all ages and interests in Thakeham.
For our next monthly open community event – on the evening of Wednesday 17 April – we expect to host an event with a history theme; details will be published on the PC website. Please also see the new Village Hall website: www.thakehamvillagehall.co.uk, which facilitates online room bookings.
This year’s Village Spring Clean event will be on Saturday 13th April from 10am, for about 2 hours. Meet at either Thakeham Village Hall, or the Rock Road Schools site. We will provide gloves, hi-vis tabards and litter-picking sticks and bags. Family groups including children are very welcome, and McDonalds Buck Barn will again be supporting the event with free refreshments and meal vouchers for volunteers.
