Prime Minister praises council recycling achievements

Boris Johnson at PMQ

The Prime Minster has praised West Sussex County Council for its achievements in recycling rates.

Figures released by West Sussex Council County in September 2020 show that 53% of items thrown away are now recycled. On average West Sussex households have managed to reduce their general waste by 30kg compared to the previous year.

Following a question from Arundel and South Downs MP Andrew Griffith in the House of Commons, Mr Johnson acknowledged the council’s achievement.
