Dogs owners are invited to join a charity walk with their dogs around the Goodwood Motor Circuit track.
Starting at midday on Sunday 7 November, dog owners and their families can take their pets on the historic 2.4-mile track, near Chichester, in aid of the estate’s chosen charity Canine Partners UK.
Tracey Greaves, Goodwood’s Chief Commercial Officer said: “Our historic motor circuit has hosted racing superstars including Sir Stirling Moss and Sir Jackie Stewart, and now all dogs are welcome for a dog walk with a difference. Many charities have missed out on much needed funds during the pandemic and we need your help to continue the vital work of Canine Partners, which trains assistance dogs for people with physical disabilities.”
There will be entertainment and the opportunity to learn more about the work of Canine Partners with a suggested donation of £10 per dog.
Donations will be collected on the day and there will be free parking inside the Motor Circuit, which usually hosts the Goodwood Revival and the Sunday morning Breakfast Clubs.
Canine Partners receives no government funding and relies solely on donations from the public to continue its life-transforming work. Puppies are selected for training at seven to eight weeks old and spend 12 to 14 months in puppy training with a volunteer, followed by four months’ advanced training at one of the charity’s centres. The dogs bring greater independence and quality of life to their human partners, offering security, companionship and practical help with everyday household tasks.
