All St Wilfrid’s Hospice shops closed

St Wilfrid’s Hospice

St Wilfrid’s Hospice has closed all of its charity shops and their donation centre. Minimising the risk of coronavirus to staff, volunteers, customers and supporters.

Laura Addison Retail Director said: “At St Wilfrid’s Hospice, we are listening closely to government guidance. Continually reviewing the potential impact of coronavirus and responding appropriately. We have taken this decision in order to minimise any risk, as we maintain our commitment to playing a key role in our local community.

“Our retail staff and volunteers have demonstrated amazing dedication to St Wilfrid’s Hospice. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone.

“We have reached a point where it is no longer appropriate to keep shops open. Re allocate staff to ongoing Hospice activities including our EBay shop, where we will continue to trade.

“As we rely on our shops to raise over £2.1million each year to continue caring for our community, this remains a critical time for St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

“Our focus remains, as always, on the provision of compassionate care to our patients and their loved ones, with the support of our local community more important than ever.

We urge our supporters and those still in need of a great bargain to find us on Ebay at charity.ebay.co.uk or Amazon.co.uk by searching – St Wilfrid’s Hospice”.
