New Monks Farm decision deferred

A decision on plans to redevelop New Monks Farm in Lancing has been deferred by members of Adur District Council’s planning committee.

The application by New Monks Farm Development, a subsidiary of Brighton and Hove Albion FC, included proposals to provide 600 homes and an IKEA retail store.

Councillors agreed to defer the plans at a meeting in Sir Robert Woodard Academy in Lancing last night (Wednesday July 18).

Members asked planning officials to use the extra time to work with the applicant to revise some aspects of the scheme.
Details of when and where the revised hearing will take place will come forward in due course.
