Revelry and rivalry returns to the Kingdom of Loxwood as the Loxwood Joust charges into place on the 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th August. For three weekends, adventure, intrigue, fun and merriment will continue to weave you into the people of Loxwood’s story, as the ‘Celebration of the Boar’ takes place in the magical Loxwood Meadows.
Transporting you back in time, the UK’s most spectacular and immersive jousting and medieval style festival is bringing full contact jousting, thunderous battles, mystic witches, a medieval executioner and daring displays of weaponry executed by fully armoured knights.
The Living History village and marketplace will be complete with wandering minstrels, dance troupes and a court jester. Three new interactive Puzzle Trail stories shall weave their way across the Kingdom; and mouthwatering morsels, traditional wares and stunning crafts will immerse you into the Kingdom of Loxwood.
Axe throwing, crossbow archery and swordsmanship will be taught with unique workshops also on offer for all ages to enjoy.
In The Royal Quarter, where you may spot Loxwood’s Queen Helena, young princes and princesses can partake in non-contact sword fighting and circus school with jester shows, face and wound painting too.
