The West Sussex Care Guide has now been updated and residents can use this to help them make informed choices about finding the right type of care and support if they need it.

‘Living well in your community: your West Sussex Care Guide 2021/22’ is full of useful information and advice about care and support services for adults in the county, as well as advice on staying safe and well.

Cllr Amanda Jupp, Cabinet Member for Adults’ Services, said: “I appreciate that seeking advice or support for care might seem a daunting prospect, but this document outlines the many different options that are available. I would encourage anyone who needs to find information on care to begin to investigate how and where they can find this advice so that they can make the choice as to how to live their lives.”

The guide covers:

  • looking after your health and wellbeing
  • supporting you to live well at home
  • support for family and friends who provide care
  • finding care at home
  • extra-care housing schemes
  • care homes around the county.

The free guide also provides a checklist for people choosing a domiciliary care or care home provider. It also acts as a directory for finding local care providers, including those that are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

You can view ‘Living well in your community: your West Sussex Care Guide 2021/22’ online as an interactive eBook and browse it electronically.
