The Novium Museum Online Shop

Shoppers are now able to access the exclusive range of products available from The Novium Museum in time for Christmas, with the launch of a new online shop. The virtual shop hosts a selection of gifts and souvenirs inspired by the museum’s collection, its exhibitions programme, and the local area.

The shop features a range of products inspired by exhibitions at The Novium Museum in Chichester, including:

• a Roman range to celebrate the museum’s Roman Gallery on the ground floor, where the archaeological remains of Chichester’s Roman bath house is on display.
• a product range designed and curated by local artists inspired by the museum’s Iron Age ‘Mystery Warrior: The North Bersted Man,’ which is now on permanent display on the first floor of the museum.
• a selection of LEGO Brick book and brick sets, complementing ‘Brick Wonders’, the museum’s new LEGO Brick exhibition (open to the public from 4th December).

Shoppers can browse the museum’s range of tote-bags, greeting cards and prints with unique designs of Chichester landmarks – also available are a range of mugs, magnets, cards and prints carrying local artist Bobby Print’s ‘Chichester Cityscape’ design. Walking guides and maps are on sale for those looking to explore the Chichester District and the South Downs.

South Downs National Park Grant and Shop Discount

Councillor Roy Briscoe, Cabinet Member for Community Services at Chichester District Council, says: “The Novium Museum not only attracts residents keen to find out more about their local area, but it also draws visitors from across the country, so it is fantastic to be able to extend the reach of the gift shop to the whole of the UK. Every purchase made goes towards supporting the museum, which due to the challenges faced as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, is more important than ever.”

The online shop has been made possible because of the South Downs National Park Authority, who awarded the museum a recovery grant of £1,647. The Sussex Innovation Centre provided in-kind support by building the Shopify site as part of a pilot project with South Downs National Park Authority.

A 10% discount is being offered to celebrate the launch of the online shop, and this is available until 17th December 2021. Use code ‘LAUNCH’ at checkout.  Products can be shipped to any UK address or collected in person from The Novium Museum in Tower Street, Chichester.
