What could be better than having your own supply of fresh fruit and veg and getting the family outside with a purpose!

During the lockdown and with people avoiding the shops as much as possible, ‘growing your own’ has become quite the thing. Local nursery, Village Nurseries in West Chiltington are now offering free home delivery of patio plants, vegetables, plants for borders and tubs plus compost.

Village Nurseries owner Peter Manfield told us, “We will have some more tomatoes and other veg at the end of April and will be starting summer seasonal plants in a couple of weeks. If you look on our website you will see a list of patio and basket plants also geraniums and feature plants – most of these are good for patio tubs.”

The well-established family-firm are currently closed to visitors but instead are offering free local (non-contact) delivery – minimum order value is £40. Payment must be by card over the phone for non-contact doorstep deliveries. Their local delivery area is West Chiltington, Pulborough, Storrington, Billingshurst, Steyning, Petworth and the surrounding villages.
