Artemis Aerospace, a global provider of aviation component solutions, has been recognised as one of just 197 UK organisations to receive the King’s Award for Enterprise in 2025. This prestigious accolade, formerly known as the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, is considered the highest official UK award for business excellence and is personally approved by His Majesty The King.

Founded in 1999 by Jim and Deborah Scott, Artemis Aerospace has grown into a globally respected company with support hubs across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Asia. The company now serves over 700 customers worldwide, offering a wide range of services including component supplies, repairs, flight simulation hardware support, and global aircraft logistics. Their approach is customer-first with a commitment to finding solutions.

Jim Scott, co-founder and CEO, described the award as a “defining moment” in the company’s history. “This prestigious award recognises everything we and our much-valued staff have done to create a business that competes on the world stage at every level,” he said. “We are incredibly proud to have been recognised and rewarded by the King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade and look forward to continuing to provide and expand on the high-quality expertise and component solutions we deliver to the aviation industry”.

The award was officially presented at Artemis Aerospace’s warehouse in Ashington, West Sussex, where the Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex, Lady Emma Barnard, and Deputy Lieutenant Neil Hart toured the facility. The visit highlighted Artemis’s innovative approach to solving supply chain challenges and its role as a trusted partner in aviation support.

Further the presentation was a celebration of the hard-work of the close-knit team of just 13 employees. It was brilliant to speak to Deborah Scott, Co-founder and Chief Financial Officer, about Artemis’ journey to the King’s Award for Enterprise. The company was born out of a desire to stop the daily 3 hour commute into London for work when the couple had started their family. With the couple’s now grown daughters attending the event it was clear how  much pride the family takes in the business and how much dedication has gone into building it.

When asked about advice to anyone considering starting a business, Deborah was enthusiastic and encouraging. She encourages anyone to take the first step, expect hard work but also embrace the unique opportunities running your own business brings.

As a recipient of the King’s Award, Artemis Aerospace is now entitled to display the emblem for the next five years – a symbol of excellence and trust in the global marketplace. The company plans to leverage this recognition to further expand its operations and continue delivering exceptional service to its international clientele.
