Event Short Description

British blues guitarist/singer whose album hit No. 1 on the USA Soul Blues Albums Chart

Event Information

Will James is a London-based blues guitarist, singer and songwriter with two albums: The Age of Fear (2020) and Sundancer (2023), the latter recorded in North Hollywood with producer John Wooler – 5x Grammy winner, John Lee Hooker, Van Morrison – and LA session players from the Aretha Franklin / Bonnie Raitt orbit. Sundancer hit number one on the USA Soul Blues Albums Chart.

In this special solo show for Midhurst Jazz & Blues, Will blends blues with jazz and soul.

The Cellar Sessions turn one of the finest wine shops in the South East into a listening room – beautifully lit, incredible acoustics, and amazing wines create a magical ambience that perfectly frames some outstanding solo, duo and trio jazz and blues artists. Wine is the ground here.

Capacity is tight, audiences actually listen, and the gentle chatter among audience and artist between songs is part of the deal. The most intimate and rare performances of the year-round formats, and deliberately so.
