Start time: 19:00 Cyprus’s Spellbound chorus makes UK debut with Sussex Harmonisers Spellbound, a Cyprus-based ladies’ chorus made up of singers from 12 different nationalities — including Russian and Ukrainian members — makes its first ever UK appearance in Burgess Hill on Wednesday 7 October. Medallists at the Harmony Holland competition in 2025, they’re stopping over en route to another international contest in Ireland. Spellbound’s founder and musical director, Mark Grindall, was Musical Director of the Sussex Harmonisers for six years and helped establish the Harmonisers’ own ladies’ chorus before relocating to Cyprus — making this a homecoming of sorts. The Sussex Harmonisers, comprising the male voice Sussex Kings of Harmony and female voice Sussex A Cappella, have been singing across Sussex for over 20 years. All three choruses will unite for one unique concert at the King’s Centre, Burgess Hill, from 7pm.
