Cumberland House is one of two beautiful gardens opening in aid of NGS charities in July (20th/23rd)

Cumberland House charity open garden

A Georgian village house (not open), next to the C12 church with a beautiful, mature, ¾ acre English country garden comprising a walled garden laid out as a series of rooms with well-stocked flower beds, two rare ginkgo trees and yew topiary, leading to an informal garden with vegetable, herb and fruit areas, pleached limes and a lawn shaded by a copper beech tree.

Cumberland House is open for the National Garden Scheme Thur 20, Sun 23 July (2-5.30). Cumberland House opens with another garden Thakeham Place Farm. Combined admission for both gardens £8, children free. Home-made teas at Thakeham Place Farm.

Refreshments in aid of Revitalise – Respite Holidays for Disabled People & Carers. Wheelchair access through gate at right-hand side of house.
