Start time: 08:00 Get up close and personal with some magnificent moths! They’ll set their moth traps overnight and people are invited to come and help ‘unpack’ them in the morning. There will be chance to take a close look at some of the incredible colour and camouflage exhibited by some of the many species of moth that is found at the reserve. This event is weather dependent and will not take place if there is rain forecast overnight. There’s no need to book in advance, just check in at the welcome hut on the day. £4 per person / £3 for RSPB members. Non-member adults pay normal nature trail entry and parking charges (see below) if you are continuing on to the nature reserve after the event.
