Elmleigh is a ⅕ acre property with a terraced front garden, leading to a heavily planted rear garden with majestic 120year-old black pines. Shrubs, perennials, packed with interest around every corner, providing all season colours. There are raised beds, sculptures, vegetables in boxes, a greenhouse, pond and hedgehogs in residence. There is also a large collection of tree lilies, growing 8-10ft. The garden is an example of what can be achieved in a relatively small, shady garden. Elmleigh is open in aid of the National Garden Scheme. The NGS have donated over £63 million to nursing and health charities. Their core beneficiaries include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen’s Nursing Institute.
