Start time: 08:00 Robin Richardson is part of the Royal Chaplain’s Army Department. At this month’s Men’s Community Breakfast, the speaker will be Robin Richardson. Robin Richardson studied Electrical Engineering at Loughborough before starting a career as a teacher, latterly as the Head of Science in a school for children with behavioural difficulties. After selection and training for ordination at Trinity College, Bristol Robin served his title in Devon before joining the Army as a Chaplain in 2004.He has served with Engineer Units, Light Role and Armoured Infantry Units, the 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment and more recently as Chaplain to 1 Armoured Infantry Brigade and Chaplain to 160 Infantry Brigade and Headquarters Wales. Robin has completed three operational tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq. He was recipient of the Slim Award for Command, Leadership and Management at the Army’s Intermediate Command and Staff Course in 2017 and has published work on the de-stigmatisation of mental health issues from a pastoral perspective. He is currently studying the positive effects of micro-habits in the development of character.
