Start time: 08:00 Men’s breakfast with Dr Tim Fookes, High Sherriff of West Sussex, GP publisher. The breakfasts, sponsored by Immanuel Church are open to all men to join for fellowship, a breakfast and to listen to a speaker. This month Dr Tim Fooks joins them. He has been a GP in West Sussex for 30 years. For 2020/1,the first year of COVID-19, he was High Sheriff of West Sussex, the first medical doctor to hold this Royal appointment in Sussex. Tim has been in strategic leadership in the NHS in Sussex and has been a GP trainer and educator particularly with regard paediatric medicine in primary care; he led a national NHS programme to improve the diagnosis of sepsis in children. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2016. In 2017 the Care Quality Commission rated Tim’s GP practice as ‘outstanding’. In 2022 he joined he Board of Governors of the University of Chichester as its chair.
