Event Information

A presentation on the geography of West Sussex, which will begin with an appreciation of West Sussex and analysing the effect that physical geography has on things like modern settlement, planning, housing, architectural styles, communications, farming, flooding and other environmental issues.

The presentation will be hosted by Bill Avenell, who will use examples and photographs wherever possible to localise the areas he will talk about. The talk will conclude with a look at some local issues, such as why a particular stream in your village floods, why roads deviate in certain ways and why Church Lane is so steep.
