George Monbiot is an investigative environmental journalist and author of several books including Feral: Rewilding the Land, Sea and Human Life and his latest publication, Regenesis: Feeding the World Without Devouring the Planet. He writes a regular column for The Guardian. This Zoom webinar will focus on the role that Societies like ‘Friends of’ National Parks and other NGOs will be playing in the future. Now we have 100 years behind us, what could the next 100 years look like? How can we be effective in the issues facing our environment? George was recently elected an honorary fellow at Wolfson College, Oxford. Proceeds from this talk will be donated to Rewilding Britain and The Friends of the South Downs. Adult: 10.
