Start time: 10:00 Sheep Judging, together with country stalls and attractions, a funfair and displays. The Sheep Fair has been running for over 250 years and takes place every year during the second weekend September. Originally a sheep auction, now a sheep judging competition attracting over 300 sheep across many breeds. There is also a traditional funfair, attractions such as dancing sheep, a farmyard circus, dog and duck show, and more. There are also sheep shearing demonstrations and a mock sheep auction. There are 120 stalls, several selling local crafts, many food outlets and a beer tent. Admission is free, although there is a car parking charge for those driving to the event. Disabled parking is available. On the Friday evening before, there is a Barn Dance, and on the Saturday evening a Party on the Green, featuring two popular local bands. Both of these events take place in the Marquee and tickets need to be purchased in advance.
