Event Short Description

Follow your creative curiosity and try something new with two unhurried hours around the craft table.

Event Information

Follow your curiosity and try something new.

There are some things we always mean to try. Picking up a brush, maybe. Making a print, or working with colour, texture or thread.

This summer, there’s time to begin.

As part of A Summer of Imagination at West Dean, our Creative Taster Sessions offer two unhurried hours around the Gardens Gatehouse craft table to follow your curiosity, explore a new art or craft, and leave with a finished piece of your own.

With step-by-step guidance from expert West Dean tutors, and no more than 12 people in each session, these tasters are designed to offer a relaxed and welcoming way into making. No experience is needed, and all materials are provided.

Sessions run on Saturdays, with morning and afternoon options available. There’s plenty to choose from, making it easy to find a session that feels right for you, whether that’s print, textiles, drawing, painting or botanical inks.

Come on your own, book with a friend or gather a small group.
