Start time: 14:30 Orchid Walk on Heyshott Escarpment Nature Reserve followed by cream teas The Downland village of Heyshott is renowned for its flora and fauna, with its chalk grassland and heathland reserves holding many rare orchid and butterfly species, red listed birds and 6 native reptile species. There will be cream teas on the village green outside the Cobden Hall in Heyshott, with 2 guided walks looking for as many as possible of the 14 orchid species on the nature reserve at Heyshott Escarpment and to work up the appetite for a homemade scone and slice of cake. All proceeds go to the historic St James church in Heyshott.
