Start time: 19:30 A performance of Ein Deutsches Requiem by Brahms performed by the Chantry Quire in German on Saturday 27th November After 18 months without rehearsals, Chantry Quire is getting together to sing live. Due to taking precautions because of Covid, they are spaced more widely than normal. In the Spring of 2021, they produced a video of Music for Passiontide with each member recording parts at home. These clips were put together to produce recordings, available on their website www.chantryquire.org.uk. They begin a new season in Petworth with Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem, sung in German (there will be a printed translation). The performance will take place Saturday 27th November at 7.30pm, in St Mary’s Church, Petworth; tickets cost £15 and can be booked through the website.
