Event Short Description

A C Grayling – The Frontiers of Knowledge

Event Information

Professor A C Grayling is Master of the New College of the Humanities, and a Supernumerary Fellow of St Anne’s College, Oxford. He has written and edited over thirty books, and for several years he wrote columns for The Guardian and The Times and was the chairman of the 2014 Man Booker Prize.

In recent times humanity has learnt an enormous amount about the universe, the past, and itself. But as well as acquiring vast amounts of knowledge we have also learned how much we have yet to learn: currently known science addresses 5% of the universe; pre-history is only just being revealed; and the new neurosciences of mind and brain are just beginning. In The Frontiers of Knowledge, bestselling polymath and philosopher A C Grayling seeks to answer them in three crucial areas: science, history, and psychology.

This event will take place live in St Mary’s Church and A C Grayling will join live by video link.
