Pulborough Parish Council A29 landslip update newsletter

A29 landslip information public meeting

For those who have been affected by the A29 landslip in Pulborough, there will be a public meeting to bring attendees up to date on the work carried out and to be carried out at the landslip sites.

The meeting has been facilitated by District Councillor Paul Clarke (HDC ward member for Pulborough), in liaison with West Sussex County Council Members and will be held at 6pm on Monday 27th February in the Arun Hall in Pulborough Village Hall, Swan View, Lower Street, West Sussex RH20 2BF.

The meeting will be attended by officers and Councillors from West Sussex County Council, Horsham District Council and Pulborough Parish Council members. The object of the meeting will be to update everyone with the steps taken so far, and to be taken to reopen the A29.

A lot has taken place since the three A29 landslips happened and much has been put into place to resolve the issues. A possible A29 timetable of repairs will be discussed and risks to that timetable explained. In addition, steps taken to mitigate in part the economic damage to the local economy will be covered by Horsham District Council.

All residents and local businesses are welcome to listen and ask questions to the County Council officers and Councillors about matters dealing with the A29 closure. Horsham District Council officers and Councillor will be there to cover local economy issues.

This is an opportunity for residents to be able to ask questions and understand what has happened over the past weeks and the future possible ways forward.
