Start time: 10:00 Hailsham care home invites those who have served, or are serving, in the Armed Forces to its café. A care home in Hailsham is inviting members of the community who have served, or are serving, in the Armed Forces to a special breakfast. On Wednesday 11th November, from 10am–11am and every second Wednesday of each month, Care UK’s Bowes House, on Battle Road, will be hosting a support group in partnership with Blind Veterans UK in its café, providing a welcoming space for local veterans to connect. Blind Veterans UK helps vision-impaired ex-servicemen and women to rebuild their lives after sight loss, supporting blind veterans to regain their independence and live the life they choose. On the day, guests will have the opportunity to chat with residents, sharing their stories and memories of their younger days, all while enjoying a hot drink and tasty treats specially made by the home’s talented head chef.
