Start time: 14:00 A care home in East Grinstead is welcoming the local community to a cinema club. On Monday 9th November, from 2pm–4pm, local people are invited to attend Care UK’s Mill View’s cinema club, on Sunnyside Close. During the sessions, which take place on the second Monday of every month, attendees will be shown a variety of classic ‘feel-good’ films in the comfort of the care home’s cinema, a safe, social and supportive environment. The initiative is designed to encourage those living alone who may be feeling isolated to come together to rewatch their favourite films and connect with others. Family carers will also have the opportunity to meet others in a similar position, share experiences with one another and benefit from the expertise of the Mill View team. Visitors can enjoy refreshments during the film, as well as coffee and cake in the home’s café afterwards.
