This Easter, the Castle’s lower lawns will transform into a bustling medieval encampment, immersing visitors in the sights and sounds of the 13th century. The event highlights a pivotal historical moment when King John called his barons to prepare for a daring campaign to reclaim Normandy from King Philip of France. Against this dramatic backdrop, visitors can witness the Earl of Arundel and his forces engaging in rigorous training, showcasing combat and archery skills. Spanning three days, the event features exhilarating reenactments, including displays of 13th-century combat, falconry, and archery. Families can enjoy live medieval music, try their hand at archery, or participate in crafting activities in an activity-packed tent. With something for everyone, visitors can delve into hands-on experiences or simply soak in the vibrant atmosphere.
