West Chiltington Dramatic Society performs Ian Hislop and Nick Newman’s comedy, ‘A Bunch of Amateurs’ at West Chiltington Village Hall on 24th, 25th and 26th November at 19:30 each evening. Ralph Wigg directs. Synopsis: A Hollywood action movie star, whose career is faltering, accepts an invitation to play the lead in King Lear at Stratford, only to find the Stratford is not upon Avon, but a tiny Suffolk village with the local amateur dramatic group. ‘A Bunch of Amateurs’ follows his rehabilitation, complicated even further by the arrival of his daughter – who doesn’t like him very much.
