Start time: 19:30 Rupert & Jan Grey will bring their historic 1936 Rolls Royce for this unique showing of their film. Romantic Road is the story of Rupert (a lawyer) and Jan Grey (a bereavement counsellor) embracing old age with a journey which one of their friends described as “mad but marvellous”. After much research and a lifelong dream, they travel 7,500 miles round India in Rupert’s father’s 1936 Rolls Royce, a gesture quite poignant in its commemoration of both his family’s history in India, his father’s service there as a doctor during the 1939/45 war and the car with which 3 generations of his family have grown up. Rupert and Jan live in an isolated cottage in South Harting, where they have brought up their 3 daughters alongside sheep, chickens and cats. Executive producer: Sharon Stone.
