The emphasis of these friendship-facilitating events is for participants to potentially extend their social circle. They offer the excitement of being able to mix, mingle and create new friendships. Yet if there are any sparks flying, the Love Doctor as host can step in and play Cupid. So there could be love in the air as well as the focus on making new friends with a similar interest. Each ‘Friend Date’ lasts six minutes with tables sporting conversation starter cards to help those who may feel nervous, with an organised mingle after everyone has finished chatting one-to-one. £15 tickets include a drink and a slice of freshly cooked pizza during the event.
