Visit Chichester’s new membership scheme invites businesses to join them in helping encourage visitors to this beautiful part of the world. The scheme aims to bring together like-minded businesses with an interest in boosting the local visitor economy, presenting a united voice in marketing the Chichester District as a premier destination for visitors, highlighting to potential visitors the variety of attractions and natural highlights to see and experience in the area.
The Chichester District, or ‘Secret Sussex’ as it’s been coined, boasts an almost unrivalled array of riches to offer visitors: the magnificence of the South Downs, stunning coastline, history and heritage around every corner, a world-class art and cultural offering, quintessentially quaint English towns and villages, a wealth of nature both on land and in the sea and much, much more.
Visit Chichester’s Chairman, Francis Hobbs explains “It’s no wonder that tourism brings in over £334 million to our local economy each year and employs 14.2% of Chichester’s population. We invite businesses to join us and be part of a community of businesses helping to grow Chichester’s presence as a first-class destination.”
Visit Chichester aims to build mutually beneficial relationships with attractions, accommodation, food and drink establishments, shops, vineyards, experience providers, and many more businesses across the region, giving business owners the opportunity to access marketing and PR services, social media tools, as well as networking events.
Having recently organised the successful first Chichester Walking Weekend, the team will next be offering businesses the opportunity to participate in a free workshop being run in conjunction with Visit England and Experience West Sussex, which will help businesses who want to attract international visitors.
