The Mayors Charity evening in support of the Princess Royal Hospital
Tickets are now on sale for The Mayors Charity evening promoting produce local to Sussex.
Proceeds for the event are going towards raising funds towards a Therapy Garden for the Sussex Rehabilitation Centre in the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath to enhance the therapy given to stroke survivors, and to provide a tranquil meeting space for them to get together with their family and friends who support them.
Town Mayor, Cllr Howard Mundin, host of The Mayors Charity evening, comments: “The Sussex Rehabilitation Centre provides a lifeline to stroke survivors and their families locally and it is my key mission to raise funds towards a therapy garden onsite in the Princess Royal Hospital to enhance the treatment they provide.
“I’m delighted to be able to support this charity and, at the same time, to promote locally made award winning Sussex Cheese and Wine at my fundraising event. The evening will consist of a tour of the vineyard to get an insight of the wine making process, a gastronomic tasting of cheese and wines and a serving of Mediterranean style food with an open bar.
“All of this in the beautiful setting of the Bluebell Vineyard with stunning views over the vines and accompanied by some unique entertainment from the very exciting string quartet, Bowjangles! I would like to see as many members of our wonderful community at this event as possible, so please join me in this wonderful charity evening on 12th May.
“I would like to thank Fairfax Properties for their kind sponsorship of this event and the Bluebell Vineyard Estate for the stunning venue.”
Bowjangles are an award-winning string quartet who have played on the BBC, The Edinburgh Fringe and were winners of the Rural Touring Awards.
Tickets for The Mayors Charity evening are £40 and are available from [email protected] or by calling 01444 455694.
