As local businesses adapt to the current situation, The Crown Inn at Dial Post is now offering free delivery of the home-cooked food from its menu within a four-mile radius.
The Crown Inn has launched a home delivery and take away service for its customers during the coronavirus outbreak. They have also set up a non-profit making grocery collection and delivery service for Dial Post to meet the needs of the village.
Grocery collection and delivery
Pre-orders are required. Please order by 6pm on a Tuesday by email only. Your order will then be ready for collection Wednesday afternoon.
You will get confirmation via email once the goods have arrived and confirm total cost of the shop. Stock is ever changing so cannot guarantee items will be available, but they will do their best to get hold of them for you.

On the menu are the pub’s popular homemade pies, chilli con carne, sausage and mash, fish and chips, burgers and a selection of starters, salads, desserts, drinks and real ale. Click here to view the menu. They will also be doing specials which will be put onto their Facebook page.
You can call the pub or use the online booking system, just go to the website as if you are booking a table, select the time you would like your delivery and then add your order to the ‘requests’ section, along with your address/postcode if you would like it delivered.
The minimum order for delivery is £25. There’s no minimum order for collection. For every order of £50 or more you will receive a £10 voucher to redeem at the pub
when normal service has resumed!
Please place you order by 6pm for the current day of delivery please. 7pm for collection from pub.
