Storrington is a pretty village nestling in the lee of the South Downs just a few miles north of Worthing and the south coast beaches. Connect to Gatwick, London Victoria and London Bridge by fast train from neighbouring Pulborough; Gatwick airport is also an easy thirty minute drive, as are the bustling cities of Brighton and Chichester with their abundant shops, theatres and nightlife. The beautiful and historic town of Arundel is just a twenty minute drive away through some spectacular scenery.

Plenty of facilities

Storrington has two primary schools within the village, plus its own year 7/8 secondary school which feeds the parent Steyning Grammar School about seven miles away in the village of the same name. There is a thriving village centre, with shops, a bank, hotel, library and a Waitrose supermarket. All major denominations of churches are represented, and in addition to a modern sports centre there is an abundance of leisure pursuits such as football, rugby, cricket and tennis for all ages, as well as plenty of clubs and societies covering all kinds of hobbies. Storrington itself has three pubs, restaurants and coffee shops, and there are plenty of other great places for food and drink within a short drive.

Situated on the fringes of the South Downs National Park, the opportunities for exploring nature are endless, either on foot, by bike or on horseback. Pulborough Brooks wildlife and bird sanctuary is close by, as is the South Downs Way which stretches from Petersfield to Eastbourne.

Housing in Storrington is varied and of good quality, with prices at a premium when compared to say Worthing but there are savings to be made if moving to the area from Guildford or London to the north or Brighton to the east.
