First round of Slurry Infrastructure Grant closing
The first round of the Slurry Infrastructure Grant closes next week.
People can apply for the Slurry Infrastructure Grant to improve, replace or expand their slurry storage capacity to 6 months based on existing livestock numbers. The grant is open to farming systems that already produce slurry and are farming pigs, beef or dairy. It is available to both owner occupiers and tenant farmers for projects costing £25,000 – £250,000.
2 stage application process
Stage 1: Eligibility Checker
- The Eligibility Checker closes on 31st January 2023.
- The online checker allows you to see if you’re eligible and to check how much grant funding you could obtain based on your needs.
- If demand is high, the RPA will prioritise projects that have the greatest environmental benefit.
Visit check-farming-transformation-fund.defra.gov.uk/slurry-infrastructure for the Eligibility Checker.
Stage 2: Application
The deadline for submitting an application is 28th June 2024.
If you are eligible and your project is selected, you will then be invited to submit a full application.
If you are considering improving or increasing your slurry storage over the next few years, people are encouraged to complete the Stage 1 Eligibility Checker before the deadline at the end of January.
