Have your say on plans for an exciting new medieval themed play area for Roffey Recreation Ground

Residents in Horsham District are being invited to give their views on plans to improve this site, known affectionately to many as ‘Roffey Rec’.

This important green space is situated in the heart of Roffey in the North Horsham parish. It lies adjacent to Roffey Football ground, the Memorial Cricket Ground and Broadwood Recreation Ground.

The redevelopment of the play area is the first stage of a wider plan to landscape the area to improve the experience for local residents.

Cabinet Member for Community and Culture Cllr Jonathan Chowen said:

“This major redevelopment work represents a substantial investment by Horsham District Council in this well- known recreation area.

“We would like to know what children, young people and parents think about our imaginative new plans for the play park and gather ideas for improving the surrounding recreation ground.

“I would urge as many of you as possible to take part in our consultation to help us shape this important area for the Roffey community.”

Please come along to one of our drop-in consultation sessions:

Roffey Recreation Ground Play Area, Leith View Road – Thursday 3 May 3pm to 6pm (subject to weather conditions)

Roffey Millennium Hall, Crawley Road – Friday 4 May 3pm to 6pm.
