The Prime Minster has praised West Sussex County Council for its achievements in recycling rates.
Figures released by West Sussex Council County in September 2020 show that 53% of items thrown away are now recycled. On average West Sussex households have managed to reduce their general waste by 30kg compared to the previous year.
Following a question from Arundel and South Downs MP Andrew Griffith in the House of Commons, Mr Johnson acknowledged the council’s achievement.
Speaking after his Prime Minister’s Question, Andrew said:
“I was pleased that the Prime Minister joined in me recognising the achievements made by West Sussex County Council on raising its level of household recycling and exceeding national targets.”
