Pagham pram race 2019

Pagham Pram Race

Whether you are a competitor or a spectator the fun and spectacle of the Pagham Pram Race always delights. The race began in 1946 with demobbed airman running for the great prize of a fruit cake!

The three mile course brings to the fore the great creativity of the participants, everything from Star Wars to Barbie Girls and some of the most zany of entertainers.

Participants drink a pint of beer at every juncture, ( participants must be 18 or over) including The Mill, The Bear, The Lamb Inn and Pagham Beach Café to return with legs unsteady, either from the beer or the exertions.

All this fun is in aid of local charities who have been recipients of spectator generosity for the many years. Much of the thousands of pounds are raised on the day. So come along on Boxing Day 2019 at 11 am and have fun while helping others.

There are numerous categories to enter from Fancy Dress, Race Class, Pub Team, Ladies and Disabled class. Or if you are willing come along as a helper and rattle the buckets to raise the funds, you will be most welcome.
