The Wey & Arun Canal is not just for boat enthusiasts

The Wey & Arun Canal Trust (WACT) isn’t an organisation just for boaters and waterway fans. Its members are enthusiasts of many types. They range from walkers to wildlife photographers, but most have one thing in common – a love of the countryside.

And they all support the magnificent project of restoring the 19th Century canal from Pallingham in West Sussex to Shalford in Surrey. To find out more about becoming a member and volunteering visit www.weyandarun.co.uk, e-mail support@weyandarun.co.uk, or call 01483 505566.

The trust can also arrange a speaker to give talks about WACT and its activities to organisations and community groups. WACT’s volunteer speakers are increasing the number of talks being given. Bookings are already being made for 2019. Talks can be organised via the website (visit www.weyandarun.co.uk) or by emailing talks@weyandarun.co.uk
